FAST Logistics Group, the country’s leading end-to-end logistics and selling and distribution company, further cemented its industry leadership by winning top accolades at the 2024 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference.

FAST bagged the Sustainability and Green Logistics Award and the Best Booth Award, while also being a finalist in the Digitalization and Automation category for service providers. These accolades underscore FAST’s innovative solutions and operational excellence, demonstrating its commitment to technological advancement and customer satisfaction.

Organized by the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines, the conference held from September 12 to 13 at EDSA Shangri-la Manila brought together business executives and supply chain professionals.

This year’s theme, “We are one supply chain going beyond the extra mile,” aimed to create opportunities for networking and collaboration in the face of various supply chain disruptions.

Among the highlights of the conference was the awarding ceremony for the inaugural edition of the SCMAP Supply Chain Philippines Excellence Awards, which recognized and highlighted exemplary practices of manufacturers and service providers in supply chain operations.

FAST’s sustainability initiatives, titled “Transition Into a Low Carbon Footprint Economy,” won the Sustainability and Green Logistics Award. These efforts include the integration of electric vehicles, solar-powered warehouses, an EV charging station powered by renewable energy, and the adoption of AI-powered load planning and truck utilization system. This commitment reflects FAST’s commitment to creating a more efficient and environmentally friendly supply chain.

Moreover, FAST was a finalist in the Digitalization and Automation Award for logistics providers. Its entry, Sales Force Automation Tool (SFA by FAST), boosts order fulfillment in selling and distribution operations.

SFA by FAST speeds up transaction times, improves data accuracy, and offers real-time tracking. This helps boost product accessibility, availability, and affordability of FMCG products, particularly in communities dependent on sari-sari stores.

Each SCMAP entry was rigorously evaluated by an independent jury of esteemed supply chain professionals, consultants, academics, and select SCMAP members. The assessments concentrated on the projects’ significance, outcomes, creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.

Showcase of Innovation and Solutions

In addition, FAST won the Best Booth Award for its creative and interactive booth design during the SCMAP conference. The booth featured FAST’s green initiatives and various logistics solutions such as Transport Management System, Warehouse Management System, Air Freight, Sea Freight, and its latest innovation, FleXchange by FAST.

FAST’s booth served as a platform for networking and collaboration for conference participants. It also highlighted the company’s expertise and dedication to delivering efficient and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions for businesses.

At the two-day conference, FAST introduced FleXchange, a systems-guided logistics solution that reduced truck loading time by 97%. FleXchange features detachable and stackable truck boxes, in which cargo can be loaded before the truck arrives at the warehouse. This minimizes delays in dispatching trucks for deliveries and enhances overall warehouse efficiency.

These detachable boxes are integrated with automated systems such as Transport Management System (TMS by FAST) and Honeywell’s Warehouse Management System for end-to-end visibility and accuracy throughout warehouse and transport operations. Every cargo is accurately tracked and managed due to its robust backend system.

FAST Chief Solutions Officer Ely Baleta explained to participants who attended the launch how FleXchange works. They learned how this innovation leads to greater customer satisfaction as quicker turnaround times ensure orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.

Highlighting ESG Initiatives

On Day 2, FAST ColdChain Solutions Head Marc Anthony Dizon was among the distinguished speakers and panelists at the conference. He highlighted FAST’s strategic efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and build a more sustainable supply chain.

This enables employees to enhance their skills, knowledge, and service capabilities. FAST Learning and Innovation Center is also open for other companies who want to strengthen their employees’ technical expertise.

Marc also noted that FAST launched a Learning Management System, an online platform designed for employees to enhance their essential skills and knowledge necessary for excelling in various roles. Industry professionals, training specialists, and subject matter experts developed the modules and learning materials. Employees access these materials remotely and at their own pace through FAST LMS.
