FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ premier end-to-end logistics solutions provider, welcomed officials from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at the FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu on Thursday, August 14.

The tour was part of the 4th leg of DTI Goes to the Regions, which aims to strengthen industrial development, promote investments, and foster closer collaboration with private sector partners to drive regional economic growth.

FAST VP for Strategic Growth Initiatives Gladys Ceniza and FAST ColdChain Business Unit Head Marc Anthony Dizon welcomed the DTI delegation led by Assistant Secretaries Domingo Tolentino Jr. and Nylah Rizza Bautista. Joining them were DTI Region 7 Acting Regional Director Esperanza Melgar, Acting Assistant Regional Director Epifania Suralta, among other officials.

Located in Tayud, Consolacion, FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu caters to the temperature-controlled requirements of businesses in the Visayas. FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu has 10,500 pallet positions, of which 8,500 are dedicated to freezer rooms and the remaining 2,500 to chiller rooms.

FAST VP for Strategic Growth Initiatives Gladys S. Ceniza and ColdChain Business Unit Head Marc Dizon welcomed officials from the Department of Trade and Industry to the FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu in Tayud, Consolacion—a 10,500-pallet facility serving businesses across the Visayas. The DTI delegation was led by Assistant Secretaries Domingo R. Tolentino Jr., Michel Kristian Ablan, and Nylah Rizza D. Bautista, together with Region 7 Acting Regional Director Esperanza T. L. Melgar and Acting Assistant Regional Director Epifania F. Suralta.

With its expansive capacity, advanced warehouse capabilities, and Intelligent ColdChain Solutions, FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu serves a wide range of clients, from large enterprises to small entrepreneurs. Big brands can store significant volumes of pallets, while micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and local farmers can take advantage of our flexible plug-and-play ColdChain solutions — even as little as two pallets for a few weeks.

In partnership with DTI, these solutions also support agri-logistics and help strengthen the local supply chain in Cebu and neighboring provinces.

FAST ColdChain Hub Cebu is situated near FAST’s warehouses for clients such as JWS Logistics, Personal Collection, and Kenvue. These facilities have completed rigorous audits for the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS), ISO 45001:2018 Occupational, Health and Safety (OHS) Management System, and ISO 22000 Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) certification.

During the tour, the DTI delegation learned FAST’s tailored offerings designed to meet varied customer needs, including diversified temperature storage capabilities, blast freezing, bundling and packaging, dry warehousing for non-refrigerated goods, and refrigerated transport for both frozen and chilled products.

They also discovered FAST’s Warehouse Management System powered by leading tech brand Honeywell, a software solution that optimizes every level of warehouse and ColdChain operations, improving efficiency, minimizing inventory errors, reducing stockouts, and enhancing order fulfillment to boost customer satisfaction.

FAST ColdChain Hub offers temperature-controlled warehousing and transport solutions for a variety of products, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive electronic equipment, among others.

Innovation and Solutions for Stronger Trade and Economy

Earlier this year, FAST partnered with several DTI Provincial Offices, namely, Nueva Vizcaya, Albay, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Leyte, Guimaras, and Isabela and engaged with MSMEs in these areas. This allowed the company to provide cost-effective, reliable, and hub-to-door logistics solutions for MSMEs, designed to empower them with market access in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal.

Through these initiatives, FAST has also generated employment opportunities in some of these provinces, underscoring the importance of logistics solutions in driving regional economic growth.

“FAST has always believed that strong partnerships between the private sector and the government are essential to building a resilient supply chain,” Gladys said.

“As an industry leader in Philippine logistics, we are committed to delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable logistics solutions that help the DTI and other government agencies reach their goals, ensuring that essential goods are moved efficiently and made accessible to every community,” she added.

FAST is committed to providing Logistics Para Sa Bayan by fostering stronger partnerships and collaborations with the government. From a business standpoint, these efforts benefit FAST and contribute to empowering Filipino entrepreneurs nationwide.

Marc also emphasized that FAST is dedicated to continuously innovating its Intelligent ColdChain solutions and expanding its capabilities to help businesses grow.

“At FAST, our focus goes beyond storage and transport,” he said. “We invest in technology, infrastructure, and people so we can provide the most efficient and dependable ColdChain solutions and serve our customers better.”
