FAST Logistics Group, the leading end-to-end logistics company in the Philippines, showcased its commitment to ESG principles and operational excellence at the 2024 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference.

An industry leader in Philippine logistics, FAST co-presented this year’s conference which brought together business executives and supply chain professionals to discuss the developments and challenges in the supply chain landscape.

FAST ColdChain Solutions Head Marc Dizon was among the esteemed speakers and panelists at the two-day conference held from September 12-13 at EDSA Shangri-La Manila. With the theme, “One Supply Chain Going Beyond the Extra Mile,” this year’s conference centered on geopolitical risks, logistics technologies, retail supply chain, and supply chain sustainability.

Sustainable Supply Chain Initiatives

During the conference, Marc acknowledged the significant carbon footprint of logistics companies and presented FAST’s strategic efforts in sustainability. He noted that FAST leverages renewable energy to run its biggest warehouses in Luzon and adopted fully electric vehicles for logistics operations.

“We take pride that the introduction of FAST’s solar-powered warehouses and the adoption of FAST electric vehicles led to the reduction of carbon emissions of over 3.2 million kilograms of CO2 equivalent,” he said.

Marc also introduced FAST Recharge, the company’s new EV charging stations powered by renewable energy harnessed from its solar-powered warehouses, marking another first in Philippine logistics.

In addition, he shared how FAST utilizes technology to make every delivery trip more efficient. He said FAST’s Transport Management System (TMS) uses artificial intelligence to enhance transport operations and efficiency. The system, which is GPS-enabled, offers real-time fleet visibility, route tracking, performance monitoring, and prompt issue resolution.

“With TMS by FAST, we help our partners and principals save time and money and support their ESG goals,” Marc explained.
