FAST Logistics Group, the country’s leading provider of end-to-end logistics solutions, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Philippine logistics sector by joining the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) presentation of updates on the Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC) project.
The event, held on Tuesday, October 14, at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Mandaluyong City, gathered key stakeholders from the DTI Supply Chain and Logistics Group, ADB, and the private sector to discuss the ongoing development of the SCLC — an initiative aimed at improving logistics efficiency, accessibility, and transparency across the country.
The SCLC is envisioned to be both a physical center in Makati and a digital one-stop portal providing comprehensive logistics information and services. This public-private collaboration underscores the shared goal of enhancing logistics competitiveness from product sourcing to last-mile delivery.
During the session, ADB consultants presented proposed digital features aimed at fostering collaboration and enhancing data sharing.
Once operational, the SCLC online platform will feature a rate calculator, warehouse database, supplier and packaging directories, logistics training resources, and regulatory guidance — serving as a vital hub for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) seeking logistics support and market access.
Public-Private Collaboration for SCLC Development
With the support of ADB and leading industry players such as FAST Logistics Group, the DTI has entered Phase 1 of the project, focusing on developing the SCLC’s online platform and centralized database. The DTI also shared that supply chain training resources have already been developed as part of the initiative.
Representing FAST at the event were Gladys Ceniza, Vice President for Strategic Growth Initiatives, and Paul James Rebutazo, Senior Manager for Strategy and Marketing Solutions.
During the event, Gladys signified FAST’s continued support of the project, including the sharing of industry data and insights that will help enhance the development of the SCLC’s systems and services. She emphasized that FAST continues to champion MSME logistics by supporting initiatives that improve accessibility, affordability, and efficiency in the supply chain.
“At FAST, we believe that access to reliable logistics information and services should not be limited to large corporations,” Gladys said. “The SCLC is a step toward making logistics more inclusive and accessible for MSMEs across the country.”
FAST has been an active partner of the SCLC initiative since its early stages. In June 2025, FAST CEO for Logistics Manuel L. Onrejas Jr. signed the Pledge of Support for the establishment of the SCLC, emphasizing that the project aligns closely with FAST’s mission of empowering businesses through reliable, cost-effective, and innovative logistics solutions.
“FAST supports DTI’s vision to make logistics more inclusive and efficient for all businesses, especially MSMEs,” Manny said. “As a trusted logistics partner, we share the same goal of strengthening the country’s supply chain ecosystem and driving national competitiveness.”
Through partnerships with like-minded organizations such as the DTI, FAST continues to provide Logistics Para sa Bayan to empower businesses of all sizes and build a more resilient logistics network in the Philippines. Learn more from our Solutions Experts
