FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leading provider of end-to-end logistics solutions, held a Truckers’ Roadshow in Cagayan de Oro City on Tuesday, January 20, to encourage and assist truck owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to join FAST’s nationwide trucking network.
During the event, attendees learned about the benefits of becoming a FAST trucking partner, business support programs available to help them grow, and the step-by-step accreditation process.
The initiative is part of FAST’s efforts to attract trucking partners in Mindanao. FAST will hold a similar Truckers’ Roadshow in Davao City on January 27 at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases.
Growth Opportunities in the Trucking Business
FAST Business Unit Head for Inland Freight Oli Encabo shared key trends in the trucking industry. He said demand for trucking services continues to rise, making it a strong opportunity for Cagayan de Oro-based truckers to partner with FAST for more consistent trips and business growth.
Citing data from Statista, Oli noted that 52 billion ton-kilometers of goods are projected to be transported by road, and 296,000 truck units were expected to be sold across the Philippines by 2025.
He also referenced a Mordor Intelligence report stating that inland freight or trucking holds 67.5% of the Philippine logistics market, remaining larger than air and sea freight in terms of market share.
With Cagayan de Oro’s growing economy, more multinational companies, major conglomerates, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are looking for reliable inland freight solutions. FAST, as the country’s largest 3PL company providing end-to-end logistics solutions, continues to support these needs, thus creating steady demand for trucking partners.

Support Programs for Truckers
At the Roadshow, FAST Transport Sourcing Head Nico Orallo introduced programs designed to help truckers build stable and sustainable businesses.
One key offering is region-based lock-in assignments that provide guaranteed revenue. While pay varies depending on the type of truck unit, this program ensures monthly income even during low trip volumes, with opportunities to earn more through additional trips. In return, truckers commit to making their units available to meet FAST’s operational requirements.
Nico also shared financing support for eligible partners. Accredited FAST truckers who have been with FAST for six months or more may qualify for financing options through FAST’s partner institutions, helping them sustain operations or expand their fleet.
For those who want steady earnings but prefer not to operate trucks themselves, Nico said FAST offers a dry leasing program. Under this setup, FAST leases the units and covers labor, fuel, toll fees, repairs, and maintenance—providing a fully managed and hassle-free option.
To address manpower challenges, FAST also offers a driver and helper hiring assistance program, linking truckers to trained delivery personnel through an accredited manpower agency. The firm helps truck owners manage manpower needs to support smooth and uninterrupted operations.
