FAST Logistics Supports DSWD, OCD CALABARZON in Typhoon Relief Operations

FAST Logistics Group, a leading end-to-end logistics solutions provider in the Philippines, deployed its transport vehicles to provide immediate aid to individuals stranded by the aftermath of Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong).

In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) IV-A and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) CALABARZON, FAST transported 2,000 ready-to-eat-food packs to Dalahican Port in Lucena City and Batangas Port in Batangas City to ensure continuous assistance to stranded individuals at the region’s major ports.

Prior to the transport operation, the FAST team led by Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and Security Head Antonio B. Cuestas Jr. met with OCD CALABARZON Regional Director Carlos Eduardo E. Alvarez III and Operations Chief Randy de la Paz at the OCD-Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Emergency Operations Center in Laguna to discuss collaboration and logistics planning.

During the meeting, FAST committed its resources to address the potential impact of typhoons and ensure the efficient execution of relief operations.

OCD meanwhile offered support through capacity-building programs and the development of preparedness plans for FAST personnel, strengthening the company’s disaster readiness.
