FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leading provider of integrated end-to-end logistics solutions, was named Runner-Up for the Improver Award at the CVC Sustainability Awards for its measurable sustainability progress.

CVC Capital Partners, a global private equity firm with more than 150 portfolio companies worldwide, runs the CVC Sustainability Awards to recognize leadership, innovation, and measurable impact in environmental, social, and commercial performance across its portfolio.

The awards panel cited FAST’s “strong progress and momentum,” highlighting the company’s investments in fleet electrification, renewable energy adoption, and supply chain improvements that have both environmental and commercial value.

The CVC Sustainability Awards evaluate work undertaken during calendar year 2024 across three categories: Leader, Improver, and Innovator. Entries are evaluated based on the strength of evidence, category-specific focus, value creation potential, and clarity of submission.

“Guided by our ESG strategy and our commitment to achieving net zero carbon by 2050, we are accelerating investments that reduce emissions while strengthening our service capabilities for customers,” said FAST CEO for Logistics Manuel L. Onrejas Jr. “This recognition affirms that we at FAST prioritize sustainability in how we operate, innovate, and grow as a company.”

Demonstrated Environmental Impact

In 2024, FAST accelerated decarbonization across its operations:

  • Installed 470.9 kWp of rooftop solar capacity at key facilities, generating at least 20% of warehouse electricity requirements
  • Enabled three warehouses to operate on 100% renewable energy through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
  • Reduced warehouse carbon emissions by 2,875.68 tons of CO₂e
  • Advanced fleet electrification through phased EV adoption and replacement of older, fuel-inefficient units
  • Implemented route optimization and driver efficiency programs to reduce fuel consumption and Scope 1 emissions

These initiatives form part of a structured sustainability strategy, backed by defined ESG targets, KPIs, and annual performance reporting.

Clear Business Value and Market Advantage

The awards panel commended FAST for clearly linking sustainability efforts to business value and operational performance. FAST also reported improvements in its EcoVadis score, strengthening competitiveness in opportunities where ESG compliance is a prerequisite.

These gains have supported new business wins and deeper partnerships with multinational clients that prioritize low-carbon and responsible supply chains.

Judges also noted that FAST is increasingly embedding sustainability into its operations through infrastructure and technology investments.

The panel recognized FAST as an early adopter of electric vehicles and renewable energy in Philippine logistics.

This recognition reinforces FAST’s commitment to sustainable logistics solutions and building a more resilient supply chain in the Philippines.

“While we are honored by this recognition, we see it as both an affirmation and a challenge to do even better,” Manny said. “This award inspires us to accelerate our ESG initiatives, expand our decarbonization efforts, and continue building a logistics network that creates long-term value for our customers, our communities, and our planet.”

Businesses of all sizes — from multinational companies and major conglomerates to international startups and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) — can accelerate their sustainability journey with FAST.
