FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leading third-party logistics provider (3PL), is teaming up with agri-tech firms Agro-DigitalPH and Mayani PH, along with government stakeholders, to directly link farmers to institutional buyers and improve access to cost-efficient logistics solutions.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving farm-to-market linkages by combining logistics expertise, digital platforms, and on-ground coordination with farming communities. Through this collaboration, FAST, Agro-DigitalPH, and Mayani PH aim to help smallholder farmers participate more effectively in formal supply chains and meet the growing requirements of institutional and commercial buyers.
An e-fulfillment and logistics hub will soon rise in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya to serve as the consolidation and processing hub for fresh produce from the province. It will support the quality control, washing, sorting, and preparation of fruits and vegetables before distribution to supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and other institutional buyers in key markets like Metro Manila.
The facility is expected to help address common supply chain gaps such as fragmented sourcing, multiple handling points, and limited post-harvest support. By improving how produce is prepared and moved to market, the project seeks to reduce inefficiencies while helping preserve product quality and freshness.
FAST, Agro-DigitalPH, and Mayani PH will help farmers meet the volume and quality requirements of institutional and commercial buyers.
What is an E-Fulfillment and Logistics Hub
The E-Fulfillment and Logistics Hub is a facility that helps consolidate, process, and prepare agricultural produce for distribution to buyers. It supports key activities such as washing, sorting, packing, and quality control to ensure goods are market-ready and meet buyer requirements.
The facility will be built in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya and will initially span 200 square meters.
The model will support contract growing arrangements and enable direct transactions with institutional and online buyers.
Who are the Farmers Involved
The project will initially engage farmer cooperatives in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya. As it scales, it will expand to include farmers from nearby towns, namely, Santa Fe, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kayapa, and nearby provinces.

How Will the Private Sector Partners Contribute
FAST operates the country’s largest transport fleet of over 3,100 trucks and maintains the largest warehouse network, with more than 2 million square meters of space and over 1 million pallet positions. It will transport the fresh produce heading to institutional buyers.
To support this venture, it will also bring its proven toll manufacturing or value-added services (VAS) capabilities, which it already provides to the leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) clients. These solutions include bundling, stickering, sorting, and other processing requirements that help prepare goods for distribution.
FAST directly employs and trains its in-house manpower for its VAS operations. This allows FAST to maintain closer control over quality assurance, operational standards, and day-to-day execution. Unlike setups that rely on multiple agencies or third-party providers, this approach enables more consistent service, clearer accountability, and more efficient coordination.
Agro-DigitalPH and Mayani bring experience in working with farming communities and supplying institutional buyers such as supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants.
Together, the partners combine logistics, sourcing, and market access capabilities. This integrated approach will help build a more coordinated and responsive supply chain.
Private sector partners will begin by developing farmer and commodity profiles to support market matching, negotiations, and advance purchase arrangements.

How Will This Project Help Farmers
- Higher income – Farmers will have direct access to institutional buyers, reducing reliance on intermediaries
- Matching supply to market demand – Farmers will be guided on buyer requirements so they can produce the right volume and quality for the market
- Capacity building – The initiative includes training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), financial literacy, and supply chain coordination through a synchronized planting calendar, alongside production support from the Department of Agriculture
- Local employment – The e-fulfillment hub will create job opportunities for residents of Aritao
- Sustainability initiatives – Agricultural waste will be processed into organic fertilizer through a composting system within the facility
Beyond market access, the project will help farmers become more organized, demand-ready, and better equipped to consistently supply larger buyers. This can create more stable opportunities for farming communities while supporting long-term agricultural development in the area.
Why is Aritao the Ideal Location for the Facility
Aritao is located along key routes linking Northern Luzon to Metro Manila. It is a major thoroughfare for agricultural goods, making it an ideal site for a logistics hub.
The location serves as a natural consolidation point for produce from surrounding provinces.
It allows goods to move more efficiently toward major consumption centers. This strategic advantage can help shorten turnaround time and improve delivery planning. It also strengthens the overall movement of fresh produce from farm to market.
With strong multi-sector collaboration, the initiative aims to directly connect farmers to institutional buyers and promote fair pricing for both producers and consumers.
