FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leader in end-to-end logistics, reinforced its partnership with the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela through a learning visit that showcased Intelligent ColdChain solutions, warehousing capabilities, and best practices that will be utilized to support Cagayan Valley’s growing logistical needs.

The learning engagement and facility tour brought together 40 officials and employees from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region II, led by Regional Director Ma. Sofia Narag and Assistant Regional Director Atty. Michael Paggabao; DTI Nueva Vizcaya headed by Provincial Director Ramil D. Garcia, CPA; and the municipality of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya led by Mayor Remelina Peros-Galam, M.D.

Officials from the municipality of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and DTI Isabela also joined the delegation.

Participants visited the FAST ColdChain Hub in Cavite, as well as the FAST Warehouse, Toll Manufacturing Facility, and the nearby FAST Learning and Innovation Hub in Cabuyao, Laguna.

The activity served as a platform for knowledge exchange on logistics innovations that can strengthen Cagayan Valley’s supply chain, particularly in improving their warehouse capabilities and providing cost-effective, reliable transport solutions for products of local entrepreneurs and farmers.

During the visit, delegates saw firsthand FAST’s Intelligent ColdChain solutions, including temperature-controlled warehousing, blast freezing, bundling and packaging, dry storage, and refrigerated transport.

They also learned about FAST’s Warehouse Management System powered by Honeywell, which enhances operational efficiency, reduces inventory errors, prevents stockouts, and improves order fulfillment. This technology, combined with FAST’s nationwide logistics network, supports the company’s mission of creating more reliable, responsive, and cost-effective supply chains.

Participants also explored FAST’s Value-Added Services, including bundling, repacking, and stickering — solutions that can help farmers prepare their goods for institutional buyers.

At the FAST Learning and Innovation Hub, the delegation learned about TESDA-accredited programs in forklift and warehouse operations, as well as workforce development programs for both aspiring recruits and current FAST employees.

The visit was part of a series of activities aimed at providing topnotch end-to-end logistics solutions for Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, and neighboring provinces in Cagayan Valley.

“It takes a community to build a resilient supply chain,” said FAST Group President William B. Chiongbian II. “Our mission has always been to make products more accessible and affordable for every Filipino, and working hand in hand with our government partners brings us closer to that goal.”

FAST strengthened ties with Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela through a learning visit with officials from the Department of Trade and Industry and local government units, showcasing its capabilities in ColdChain and warehousing. As an industry leader, the company has been relentlessly delivering innovative solutions that connect and empower communities across the Philippines.

Stronger Public-Private Sector Partnership

The visit also highlighted FAST’s partnership with the Aritao local government unit and DTI Nueva Vizcaya through the establishment of Logistics Support Kiosk at the OTOP Aritao Store. The kiosk serves as a convenient cargo drop-off for businesses, making the movement of goods faster, more efficient, and more affordable.

Building on this success, FAST is expanding the kiosk network to serve more municipalities across Cagayan Valley, furthering its commitment to improving market access to essential products in the region. Discussions also explored the possibility of holding job fairs in the provinces to boost local employment and provide more career opportunities in logistics.

“Collaboration with partners ensures that our local entrepreneurs and farmers have access to modern supply chain solutions,” said Regional Director Narag. “This directly translates to better market reach, faster delivery times, and more competitive products.”

Participants recognized that access to modern supply chain solutions can significantly enhance the competitiveness of local products.

During the tour, Assistant Regional Director Paggabao emphasized the need for support in ColdChain infrastructure in Cagayan Valley. “Our region is primarily agricultural, and what we have seen today are solutions that will not only improve efficiency but also strengthen our efforts to ensure food security,” he said.

DTI Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Director Garcia shared that seeing FAST’s logistics solutions was more than just an educational experience but a chance to envision how these innovations could help communities strengthen livelihoods. “By adopting these best practices, we can create a stronger support system for our local producers, ensuring their products reach more consumers in the best possible condition,” he said.

The visit demonstrated how strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors can address infrastructure gaps and foster innovation.

For Mayor Peros-Galam of Aritao, the municipality’s partnership with FAST is an ongoing commitment to the town’s economic growth. “In the LGU, we are exploring all avenues to empower our residents with livelihood and accessible logistics solutions for them to thrive.”

The learning visit concluded with a renewed commitment between FAST, DTI, and local leaders to deepen public-private collaboration in strengthening logistics infrastructure, expanding regional trade, and ensuring that essential products reach communities in a timely and affordable manner.
