Whether you are an experienced truck owner or an aspiring entrepreneur dreaming of starting a trucking business, becoming an accredited FAST trucker is a significant step in your journey to success. Partnering with FAST provides you with a consistent influx of clients, routes, and income while ensuring your involvement in delivery operations for the nation’s leading companies.

FAST is actively seeking trucking partners to join its growing fleet. To become an accredited FAST trucker, applicants must meet specific requirements and submit the necessary documentation. It is crucial for us to prioritize safety and efficiency in our logistics operations while upholding high industry standards.

How to Become an Accredited FAST Trucker

Partnering with FAST represents an excellent opportunity for trucking companies to expand their reach and contribute to reliable logistics operations. If you’re interested in joining our growing network of trucking partners, here’s what you need to do.

Step 1: Prepare the Primary Requirements

The first step in becoming an accredited FAST trucker is gathering the necessary documents to ensure a smooth application process. Taking the time to organize these documents will set a solid foundation for your accreditation journey. Here’s what you need to prepare:

Certificate of Public Convenience or Provisional Authority Permit

A Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) is a legal authorization issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to individuals or vehicle owners wishing to provide public transportation services. This certificate grants the holder the right to transport cargo along specified routes using designated vehicles. If truck owners wish to operate while awaiting their CPC, they can obtain provisional authority from the LTFRB. This temporary permit is valid for a limited duration, ranging from three months to one year, enabling them to operate while awaiting CPC approval.

Updated OR/CR

It is essential that your Official Receipt and Certificate of Registration (OR/CR) for the truck are current and up to date. This ensures that you comply with all legal requirements and regulations, allowing you to operate your vehicle without any issues.

Inland-Marine Insurance Coverage

Inland marine insurance offers robust protection for vehicles during transit, shielding them from potential risks like damage. By ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations, truck owners can focus on their business, confident that their vehicles are well-protected.

Insurance Premium for Personnel

FAST mandates that truck partners obtain and pay an insurance premium for their personnel, ensuring that all team members are adequately protected while on the road. It helps protect them from unforeseen accidents and liabilities that may arise during their duties.

Once you have secured all these documents, you are ready to advance to the next step in the process.

Step 2: Engage in the Onboarding Process

To welcome new trucking partners, FAST offers a comprehensive onboarding process that includes orientation and training sessions. These sessions are designed to familiarize you with the essential systems and processes at FAST, ensuring you can hit the ground running and operate efficiently within our network.

The orientation covers a range of vital topics, such as operational protocols and customer service standards. Training sessions also provide hands-on guidance on utilizing the FAST Trucker App, which the company employs to assign deliveries and routes to its trucking partners.

Accredited FAST truckers can accept and manage bookings, track deliveries, and communicate with stakeholders via FAST Trucker App. The app offers flexible route and schedule options, real-time updates, and notifications to help truck owners balance their workload, maximize earnings, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

What is the FAST Trucker App?

FAST trucking partners should download the FAST Trucker App from the Google Play Store. To get started, locate the app, click the install button, and register. Our team will provide user credentials for accredited truckers, which are essential for connecting with clients and efficiently managing your logistics operations. Once you become an accredited FAST trucker, you can start accepting bookings and delivering goods using this dedicated mobile app.

Step 3: Submit Additional Requirements

After completing the onboarding process, you’ll need to submit a few more documents.

GPS Installation

Make sure your truck is equipped with a reliable GPS device for real-time tracking, as this technology not only helps you monitor the vehicle’s location but also provides valuable insights into routing, estimated arrival times, and overall fleet management. This way, you can enhance efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.

Deed of Assignment or Deed of Sale

These documents serve as official proof of ownership or the transfer of ownership of the truck, ensuring that all legal claims and rights associated with the vehicle are clearly established and documented. They typically include important information such as the vehicle identification number (VIN), the names of the previous and former owner operators the current owners, and any relevant dates regarding the transfer process.

The primary requirements should be submitted within seven days, while the secondary requirements should be completed within 30 days to prevent the deactivation of your account in the FAST Trucker App.

Challenges in Accreditation

Becoming an accredited FAST trucker offers numerous advantages, but some challenges delay the accreditation process. Here are some of them.

Expired or No Business Permit

It is crucial to ensure that all necessary permits are not only renewed but also up-to-date and compliant with local regulations. Regularly check the status of your permits and stay informed about any changes in licensing requirements to avoid interruptions in your business operations.

No LTFRB Franchise

The LTFRB franchise is crucial for legal operation. If you don’t have a franchise yet, it’s important to start the application process immediately to avoid any legal issues and to secure your place in the market.

No LTO Registration for the Truck

Your truck must be registered with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to be eligible. This registration ensures that your vehicle complies with local regulations and can legally operate on public roads. Double-check your registration status and renew if necessary.

Expired Truck Insurance

Insurance is a non-negotiable requirement. This coverage not only safeguards against accidents and unforeseen events but also provides peace of mind, allowing you to focus on your operations. Ensure that all your trucks have valid and comprehensive insurance coverage.
