Driving Thought Leadership in AI-Powered Supply Chains in the Philippines

On the summit’s opening day, FAST Chief Information Officer Leo Sacamos Jr. joined the expert panel discussion, “Reimagining Supply Chains Through AI: Intelligent Systems, Predictive Networks and Digital Ecosystems.”

During the discussion, Leo shared how artificial intelligence is helping organizations move beyond reactive supply chain management toward predictive and proactive operations. He emphasized that AI-powered analytics and 3PL solutions enable businesses to anticipate disruptions, optimize decision-making, and improve operational resilience before issues escalate.

This capability is particularly valuable in the Philippines, where businesses regularly contend with typhoons and other natural disasters. Predictive analytics, intelligent planning, and resilient digital supply chains have become essential for maintaining business continuity and delivering reliable customer service.

Leo also emphasized that realizing AI’s full potential requires more than deploying individual technologies. Success depends on building an integrated digital ecosystem where platforms, data, employees, suppliers, customers, and technology partners work together seamlessly to maximize the value of AI-driven solutions.

He also emphasized the importance of having transparent, accurate, and reliable data that businesses can trust and rely on to make informed decisions.

Other panelists were Mark Philip Comandante, founder of ExoAsia Innovation Hub and country head of Propspient AI; Maria Rosell Gomez, partner for Risk Services and Forensics Leader at PwC Philippines; and Lyndon Ogali, core industry lead at Salesforce Philippines.

The discussion was moderated by Rai De Jesus, chief procurement officer of ePLDT Inc. and vice president and head of procurement of PLDT Inc.

FAST Logistics Group: Advancing AI-Powered Logistics in the Philippines for Smarter Supply Chain

FAST continues to make significant investments in digital technologies to build a more intelligent, connected, and resilient logistics network. By integrating 3PL solutions — from warehousing to transportation — FAST is enhancing operational visibility and improving service reliability.

FAST has migrated from its proprietary Transport Management System (TMS) to FarEye’s AI-enabled delivery platform. The solution provides real-time shipment visibility, intelligent route optimization, and smart load planning. Overall, TMS by FAST powered by FarEye supports delivery orchestration and predictive operational insights across FAST’s nationwide logistics network.

FAST has likewise strengthened its warehouse operations through a Honeywell-powered Warehouse Management System (WMS), which automates processes from inbound receiving to outbound fulfillment. The platform delivers real-time inventory visibility and improves inventory accuracy.

The software solution also streamlines order fulfillment and gives customers greater control over inventory movements while increasing operational efficiency and service reliability.

Beyond transportation and warehousing, FAST continues to invest in intelligent fleet technologies, including AI-powered dashcams that help improve driver safety, monitor road incidents, encourage safer driving behaviors, and generate operational insights that enhance fleet performance and risk management.

These technology investments are essential to operating one of the largest and most complex logistics networks in the Philippines.

FAST manages the country’s widest transport fleet of more than 3,100 trucks for land freight, complemented by integrated RoRo, sea, and air freight services that enable nationwide connectivity. FAST also operates the nation’s largest warehousing network, with more than 160 facilities, over 1 million pallet positions across dry and cold storage, and an annual throughput of more than 1 billion cases.
