As part of its commitment to environmental protection and sustainability, FAST Logistics Group conducted a tree-planting activity at Mt. Makiling in Santo Tomas, Batangas on Tuesday, June 25, in line with the Philippine Arbor Day 2024 celebration.
FAST employees, in collaboration with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Batangas, planted at least 120 seedlings at the tree planting site.
This initiative aligns with the observance of Philippine Arbor Day, celebrated annually on June 25th, as mandated by Republic Act No. 10176 or the Arbor Day Act of 2012.
FAST’s participation in this celebration underscores the company’s dedication to contributing to environmental conservation and promoting sustainability efforts for future generations.
Over the years, FAST has seamlessly integrated sustainable solutions into its supply chain operations.
Notably, it introduced the Philippines’ first fleet of fully electric trucks, capable of traveling up to 280 kilometers on a single charge. FAST EVs are equipped with advanced technology, including GPS and AI-powered dashcams that provide real-time updates on vehicle location, driver behavior, and cargo condition. For businesses, this not only meets the demand for eco-friendly processes but also offers opportunities to reduce fuel and maintenance costs linked to conventional diesel trucks.
In addition to its transportation innovations, FAST utilizes renewable energy at its major warehouses in Luzon to significantly cut carbon emissions. Solar power substantially meets the energy requirements of FAST’s warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna, and the ColdChain Hub in Imus, Cavite.
